Fundraising

Fundraising is a huge part of the work we do. Our money helps support additional activities within the school. We have several different types of fundraisers: event based fundraisers (such as the Jog-A-Thon), ongoing fundraisers (such as Bottle Drop and Box Tops), merchendise sales (Charleston Wrap and Plant Sale) and just plain old asking for donations!

Where does the money go?
During the  2022/2023 school year the PSO provided an additional $36,500 funds to the  school and we plan to do the same again this year!! Below are the many ways we’ve contributed to the enrichment of your students' experience at Metzger.

Bottle Drop

With Bottle Drop, you can donate your bottle refund to the Metzger PSO. How it works: 
  1. Pick up a blue bag and tag in the front office
  2. Fill the bag with bottles and cans that are eligible for a refund
  3. Return the full bag to a Bottle Drop location
Idea: Do you have a big event coming up or have lots of cans at your place of work? Grab a bag and fill it up!

Fred Meyer Community Rewards

Fred Meyer Community Rewards is an easy way for local non-profits to receive donations from Fred Meyer Stores. Customers earn these donations for their favorite nonprofits by shopping with their Rewards Card. Fred Meyer will donate over $2 million to nonprofits in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington every year through this program. Here’s how it works:
  1. Link your Rewards Card to your favorite nonprofit, just log in to your online account.
  2. Whenever you use your Rewards Card when shopping at Freddy's, you’ll be helping the nonprofit linked to your Rewards Card earn a donation from Fred Meyer.
  3. At the end of each quarter, Fred Meyer will make a donation to participating nonprofits based on the accumulated spending of the Rewards Customers linked to each nonprofit.
